Soccer background

Born in Monrovia, Liberia and at the age of 13, I moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have been playing soccer since the age of 7; I started playing in youth league teams within the community, where I was the captain for every team that I played on. Because of my competence in the sport I was later place on higher leagues that were sponsored by the Country’s national team, Lone star. Due to playing at this level, my skills accelerated and I understood the game of soccer remarkably.

High School

When entering high school I had a rapid modification on the men varsity soccer team, gaining a starting role as striker/forward. During my four years of high school I played every single game, I was the leading goal scorer on my team and I was the MVP every year. In the 60 plus games, I scored approximately 80 goals within four years that I played in high school. I successfully graduated high school in 2005.

Upon graduating from high school, I volunteered to coach at a public middle school during the summer time in my community. I volunteered Monday, Wednesday and Friday, to help students improve their skills in soccer.

Junior Lone star

A local Liberian club in the Philadelphia community, I was one of the founding fathers. I started off playing as a midfielder and later on switch to a striker. The Junior Lone star team participated in the Pennsylvania state cup every year since 2003. During the year of 2008, we won the Pennsylvania state cup against FC Delco; we also were champions of regional 1. Because being regional champions we were able to participate in the nationals, which took place in Seattle, Washington, representing regional 1.
